Greysful Glamour 22nd March 2018

Newcastle Racecourse has been a happy hunting ground of late and Darby Racing’s Greysful Glamour (Stratum/Rippled) didn’t disappoint, taking out the Jennings Print 2yo Maiden Plate over 1400m on Thursday 22nd March 2018.

Jockey Tim Clark new the inside fence was the fast lane on the day, but had to bring the filly wider than what he would have liked at the 400 metre mark to obtain a clear run. Once in the open, she had a fight on her hands but was determined to run down the fast finishing Signore Fox. Refusing to give in until the job was done.

The kind nature of this filly is in complete contrast to her race day determination and gritty resolve. She definitely knows when to don her ‘game face’ to mask her usual friendly disposition. The rapport between strapper Ashleigh Perry and this gentle filly is a pleasure to watch. There is an obvious bond that extends beyond sharing a work day address.

Well done to all.
