The first of a winning double today at Warwick Farm Wednesday 12th October 2022 belonged to emerging filly, 3yo Street Gossip (So You Think/Wahng Wah), where she made her debut in Race 3, the Home Affairs @ Coolmore Plate over 1200m.

Ridden by Jockey Tom Sherry she jumped well from barrier 7 but was posted deep, so decided to go back. Caught last and now about 2 lengths from the rest of the field, Tom didn’t panic and just kept her at a comfortable pace. At the turn she tacked on to the rest of the field and set off to thread her way through the field. At the 50m mark she burst through to win by a neck in a very exciting finish and an outstanding first up victory.

The second victory of the day went to Bullet Rider (Star Witness/Fantastic Flo Jo) saluting in the last race, the Vinery Stallions Handicap over 1100m. This 5-year-old chestnut gelding was ridden by Jockey Josh Parr, jumping from the widest gate. After jumping well, he had little option but to go forward, but was still caught wide. Urged on by Josh, Bullet Rider balanced up and found his momentum. At the 50m mark he took the lead and came away with the impressive win. It was wonderful to have David Lui of SE in town to enjoy his success.

A very good day for the stable and congratulations to all connections.
