It is the last race at Rosehill Gardens on 30th January 2021 and the now gelded Big Parade (Deep Field/Crystal Rock) is favourite for the ‘50 Years ATC Members Recognition’ Handicap over 1200m. He jumped well, but with no designated leader, three other runners bunched up, contesting for the front. Big Parade eventually settled on running second on the fence with Lillemor taking up the lead. Jockey Josh Parr did not panic just keeping his powder dry until the 200m mark where he made the final lunge at the leader, getting there when it counted, wearing down the early leader. It was a very exciting finish to watch.

Big Parade will now go for a well-earned rest and will return to the stable in four to six weeks’ time, with plenty more in store. Huge congratulations to owners Steve and Jenny Summers, who deserve every thrill on the ride Big Parade is taking them on.
