Big Parade’s (Deep Field/Crystal Rock) pre-race antics had him all but gelded on the spot, but he took out the Ranvet Handicap over 1250m at Canterbury Wednesday 9th September 2020 in such convincing fashion that the imminent threat of castration hanging over his head has all but disappeared.

This 4-year-old bay horse ridden by jockey Josh Parr jumped fairly from barrier 1. Held the fence and found himself in the lead and there he stayed for the duration of the race. The big weight (62kgs) on the soft track did not seem to worry him a bit. Drawing away in the end to win by over 5 lengths.

Congratulations to owners Mr and Mrs Summers, newcomers to the stable. It was great to get the win, may it be the first of many more to come.
