Avoiding the heavy tracks in Sydney, the stable took Harmony Rose (Glass Harmonium IRE/Gowana) to Albury for their showcase meeting held 25th March 2022, where the track was rated a Good 3. Coming off a luckless last start in the Epona at Rosehill, the Darby-Racing-Syndicated grey mare contested the listed Commercial Club Albury Gold Cup over 2000m.

She jumped well but was kept calm and composed by Apprentice Jockey Tyler Schiller while Entente (Dundeel/Nextess) sped to take up the lead. From there she travelled comfortably in second position. At the turn she was on equal terms with the leader and came away in the straight to win by over 2 lengths, creating a new track record in 1:58:38.

Well done to Tyler Schiller, his first listed race win. I’m sure there is much more to come for this young rider, but this win will always be remembered as a watershed moment in his career, congratulations.
