Wednesday, the twelfth day of April 2023 brought with it a winning double for the stable at Newcastle.

Race four the Hunter Valley Premium Meats Handicap over 1850m saw promising staying filly, Silvakia NZ (Reliable Man/Slovakian) taste victory. Ridden by Jockey Josh Parr, she was positioned worse than mid-field on the fence throughout. Rallied at the turn and once seeing clear air had space to wind-up and come bursting down the outside to score.

Race 8, saw Toesonthenose NZ (Ocean Park/Peak Performer) take out the Prince of Merewether Handicap over 1400m. Ridden by Jockey Tom Sherry he was caught deep but with cover. At the turn he was bumped while coming wide but managed to stay out of trouble. Once balanced, he stormed down the straight to come away with the deserved win.

Another terrific double for the stable, congratulations to all owners and connections.
