Miravalle continues Arrowfield’s winning streak (three winners in two days) by breaking her Maiden status in the Yulong Stallions Handicap over 1400m at Warwick Farm today, 2nd September 2020.

Miravalle (Redoute’s Choice/Condesaar) a beautifully bred filly and the half-sister to 2016 Spring Champion Stakes winner in Yankee Rose, put in a solid performance to hold out the fast finishing son of Frankel, Yangtze Rapids.

This talented filly jumped well from Barrier 3 and found herself running second, trailing Winx’s half-sister Convent Garden. She took the lead at about the 300m mark but once in front appeared to be a little unsure what to do. She soon picked up the pace when she became aware of competition coming on her outside and crossed the line for a promising win in just her second ever start.

Ridden by Jockey Rachel King who claimed success in our very own first Group 1 success for the same connections, with Maid Of Heaven again in the Spring Champion Stakes but in 2018 stated ‘She gives you a really nice feel and for her to be winning races like that and only really getting the hang of it the last 100 metres is impressive. She’s got a lot more to come’.

Bring on the Spring!
