Saturday 14th April 2022 and Mission Value (Capitalist/Maglissa) travelled to a water-logged Wyong track to contest the Huckel Excavations 3YO Maiden Plate over 1200m.

He bounced out of the gates and settled mid-field, allowing the speed to compete upfront. He eventually camped in third position, settling one off the fence, to travel comfortably throughout. Just before the turn Apprentice Jockey Tyler Schiller came out wide to give his mount plenty of room. Timing his run to perfection, he balanced and gained momentum at a key moment in the race. In the straight he easily accounted for the leader to come away with the win.

Congratulations to Mr Paul Cheng and Mr Lam, his Hong Kong based owners. Returning from injury, it was great to see this horse back to his best and in the winners’ circle.
