It is Sunday, 18th October 2020 and here we are at Nowra where Stable Representative, Aaron Lau led the team to take out a double in races 2 and 4.
The first winner came in the Hales Douglass Maiden Plate over 1400 with Solar Flash (Olympic Glory/Aurora’s Star) jumping clearly in front and staying in the lead all the way. Rated so beautifully by Apprentice Jockey Tom Sherry and together with this filly’s sheer heart they got the job done comfortably.
The second winner, Time for Victory (Time for War/Hembrook) took out the Tierney Breed & Race Maiden Handicap over 1200m. He jumped well, happy to travel hugging the rail in fifth position. Just after the turn he rolled off the fence, determined to find clear air and victory, surging to the line to win by nearly 2 lengths. Ridden superbly again by Apprentice Tom Sherry to bring up the trainer and rider double.
Congratulations to all owners and connections, both horses deserved winners.
