The in-form Mission Phoenix (Reset/Oh Susannah) was sent to Rosehill to contest the Listed Schweppes January Cup at Rosehill Gardens on 7th January 2023.

This 6-year-old bay gelding jumped sharply from barrier 9, kept wide by Apprentice Tyler Schiller until he could comfortably claim the fence and the lead. He maintained poll position throughout, briefly challenged in the straight by Aleas (Archipenko/Alea Iacta) but with gentle urging by Tyler, he dug deep to hang on for the win.

Congratulations to Mr Paul Cheng and Mr Lam, with Mission Phoenix once again showing his tough resolve to win.
