Sixgun (Snitzel/Acquired NZ) stepped out at the last Canterbury night meeting for the Summer to contest the Kia Sprint Series Final over 1100m, Friday 25th February 2022.

The relentless rain in Sydney of late resulted in the track being graded a Heavy 9, providing conditions that Sixgun excels in. He Jumped fairly but settled near the rear of the field, one off the fence. He was allowed to remain in his comfort zone throughout but was steered wide on the turn into clear going. Ridden by jockey Josh Parr, he joined the leader Miss Jay Fox (Written Tycoon/Miss Eejay) at the 200m mark and soon finished over the top of them, with Bugalugs (Scintillo/Bohemian Circus) coming in third place. Sixgun can be wayward at times but tonight all the stars aligned to have him at his best, thriving in the heavy going he so loves.

Congratulations to Geoff and Mary Grimish on another winner out of this great family.
