Smooth Sailing (Your Song/Asylum Seeker) journeyed to Nowra to make her debut in Race 3 the One Agency Group Maiden Plate over 1100m, Sunday 12th February 2023.

She jumped well from barrier 3 but allowing the speed battle to occur upfront, she retreated to settle back mid-field on the fence. Ridden by newly-betrothed Jockey Tom Sherry, she ventured wide on the turn with the leaders firmly in her sight. It took the length of the straight for the filly to round up the field but Smooth Sailing came over the top of them in the end to win by 1.5 lengths.
