It was with a great sense of nostalgia and much pride that we saw Superbowl Sunday take out the Cg & E Maiden Handicap over 1100m at Kembla Grange Tuesday, 5thMarch 2019.

This 3yo brown gelding jumped from barrier 8 to sit mid-field. Urged on by Jockey Blake Shinn he was soon challenging the lead with ‘Uno That’ to come away and win by a neck. It is time and patience that has got this horse to the track and he has kept improving with each run. Still refining his racing skills, we expect there will be more success to come.

Superbowl Sunday (Snitzel/Vaquera NZ) was bred by David Henderson and carried the very same colours (brown with white epaulettes) that the trainer had his last ride in as a jockey. Mark rode Power Broker to victory at Kembla Grange 10thSeptember 2011.

Congratulations to the Henderson Family, may we enjoy many more wins together.
