A mid-week meeting on Tuesday 5th April 2022 saw two Syndicators, Darby and Tri-colours take out a race victory each, evoking a Hawkesbury Double for the stable.

Race 1, the HRC Motel Maiden Plate over 1100m had Assiduity (Deep Field/Albany Crest) in the hot seat. The 3-year-old brown gelding was punched up to take the lead by Jockey Josh Parr. From there he controlled the race to win emphatically by over 3 lengths for Darby Racing.

In race 3 Toesonthenose (Ocean Park/Peak Performer) another 3-year-old gelding, enjoyed similar race tactics. This time ridden by Apprentice Jockey Tom Sherry to take out the Pioneer Services Maiden Handicap over 1400m for Tri-Colours Racing and Syndications. Another easy watch with the winning margin just over 2 lengths.

Congratulations and thank you to both sets of syndicated ownership groups and their connections, for making it such a successful day’s racing at Hawkesbury.
