Taraashoq GER (Maxios GB/Tassina GER), travelled to Canterbury on a Friday night, 20th January 2023 to run in Race 5, the Blue Point First Yearlings handicap over 1900m.

He jumped well from box one and hugging the fence, was happy for the favourite to take up the lead, positioning himself in third spot. Once there, Apprentice Tyler Schiller waited patiently until the turn to burst through a split. Making his intentions clear, he came away to win by nearly a length. Beautifully executed by both horse and rider.

Congratulations to Owners, Geoff and Mary Grimish and Peter Johnston. Taraashoq is such a lovely horse and deserved this win. Well done.
