It was with much appreciation to owner Craig Hodge that we all got to enjoy Maroch’s first start for the stable. Craig entrusted us with his talented 4yo gelding, making his way from the Tasmanian circuit to the competitive racing scene here in Sydney, such was his belief in horse and trainer.

Maroch (Nicconi/Aden) delighted us by taking out the Legacy Retirement Village Handicap over 1100m at Gosford today, 13thAugust 2019. Ridden by jockey Nash Rawiller, he jumped from a wide barrier and found the fence with what looked like relative ease. Carrying a large weight of 60.5kg, he led throughout, gutsing out a last-minute challenge by the Gary Portelli trained Sebring Express.

It was a courageous victory, and may it be our first win of many more to come for Maroch and his owner.
