Sunny days are few and far between in Sydney at the moment, but Wyong enjoyed a sunny Winter’s Day for their meeting held Tuesday, 16th August 2022 while the stable enjoyed another winning double.

The first success came in Race one, the Kim Waugh Maiden Plate over 2100m when Piempurr (Pierro/Pampurr) finally got her maiden win done and dusted. Rated superbly by jockey Tim Clark, she led all the way. Managing to fight off her rivals on the line, and hanging on for the deserved victory.

Stable Foreman, Aaron Lau then had to wait until Race 6, the Farewell Dean Grogan Maiden Plate over 1100m for our next runner Crystalane (Snitzel/Crystal Flute) to taste victory once more. Ridden by Jockey Tom Sherry she too was rated well in front and had to fight off contenders on the line, Perpignan and Edna. It was a nail-biting finish with Crystalane coming away with the spoils.

Congratulations to all owners and connections, it was important wins for both horses.
