It was a brilliant win by The Enzo (Stratum/Danica) to take out the Inglis Classic over 1200m at Warwick Farm on Saturday 10th February 2018. It was extremely timely too, to have the showcase winner to commence the inaugural opening of the Riverside Stables, for the esteemed auction house Inglis.

We could hardly contain our delight when The Enzo’s jockey, Josh Parr took a late run and sprinted home to finish over the top of the field. There was an uncharacteristic show of emotion by the trainer, which saw hugs all round. It’s a cliché, but this is what racing is all about.

Of course, I have to acknowledge Enzo’s strapper Steve O’Leary who’s care of this horse is second to none. He even walks him on his day off. It is often the behind the scenes people and their connection to a horse, that makes all the difference.

We are proud to be associated with The Enzo and his connections. Patrick Lee selected and purchased the Stratum colt from last years Inglis Classic Yearling sale for Keith Lam. Both the Lee and Lam Families were instrumental for the stable’s realisation and growth and it was nice to be able to show them our gratitude with the win.

Well done The Enzo (the fast car not a bad haircut).
