The racing colours, Royal Blue, White Horseshoes, with a Royal Blue & White Hooped Cap have had a terrific couple of days. Firstly, winning at Warwick Farm on Wednesday 30th June 2021 with 2yo gelding Dragonstone (Mikki Isle/Quick’s The Word) taking out the Harry Angel @ Darley Handicap over 1100m. Secondly, the half-sister Stormborn (Head Water/Quick’s The Word) tasted victory in the Johns Park Bowling Club Handicap over 1000m at Hawkesbury the very next day, 1st July 2021.

Dragonstone, ridden by jockey Josh Parr jumped well from barrier 6 but was unable to tuck in close to the fence. He was then caught wide but still travelled comfortably, staying in contact with the front runners. At the 300m mark he took the lead coming away with a convincing win on the Heavy 9 track.

The next day Stormborn, also ridden by jockey Josh Parr, jumped well to race on pace throughout. A line of three contested the lead in the straight, with the 3yo filly headed when she rallied to kick back right on the line. Securing the win by a nose.

Congratulations to both ownership groups, with some owners common to both horses, enjoy a great 48 hours in racing.
