At Randwick on Melbourne Cup Day, 3rd November 2020 Invictus Salute (Exceed and Excel/Acquired) took out the Bentley Choisir Handicap over 1100m.

Now with new owners Sledmere Stud, we were very grateful for the opportunity to keep Invictus Salute in the stable after being served by I Am Invisible. Ridden by jockey Rachel King, this 5yo mare was so tough, racing wide throughout the race yet continually applying pressure to race favourite and leader, Space Boy. At the 200m mark she went to Space Boy, matching his pace only to edge clear in the final stages with stablemate Blazing Miss running home in third position.

She will have just one more run before she retires to become a full-time Mum. We hope ‘Vicki’ enjoys motherhood and can’t wait to see her offspring on the track.

nb: A special congratulations to the connections of Mission Way as the gelding took out the WIN Network Maiden Plate over 1400m at Kembla Grange on the same day.
